Why do people cheat?

It seems like everyone cheats nowadays. Why? Cheating has become more and more socially acceptable in today's society. Cheating has become commonplace on television and in movies. I once saw an article in Cosmopolitan magazine entitled, "Spice Things Up, Have a Fling." I guess if everyone is cheating, then it would make sense to encourage the practice so that the perpetrators don't feel guilty.

I think people cheat because they are afraid to be alone, so they settle. Therefore, people are always looking for the next best thing.

  1. People cheat because they can. Cheating is as natural as monogamy.

  2. Why do you read Cosmopolitan? Besides that, I still like to believe people are generally faithful, or as faithful as past generations have been.

  4. It makes me mad to see people cheat because I can't even get a girlfriend. :( People just don't know how good they got it.
